Catrina is a Retired Combat Veteran and JROTC Senior Army Instructor with over 25 years of service. Her counseling journey began when she successfully recovered from PTSD. She recognized that it can be extremely difficult for someone who has been trained and dedicated in helping others accept the fact that they need help as well. This catapulted her into advocating for mental health services and fight stigma. Her approach is to inspire, equip, and empower the healing professionals in order to help move toward hope, healing and improve quality of life.
Catrina and her husband Todd have been married for over 20 years and together (blended) they have 5 children and 2 grandchildren.
